You and I would have probably already shed a few tears listening to Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’, alone, on a train, on a perfectly rainy day. I probably know every word to every single song on all her albums.
This popular songstress debuted on the music scene in 2008 with a chart-topping line-up of amazingly written heartbreak songs that billions all over the world fawned over. Adele has made a comeback in 2015 from a long break and launched not only another hit song, but also a new and improved figure.
The award-winning singer significantly lost a lot of weight and is looking absolutely stunning. The why behind her weight loss journey is slightly unconventional.
Adele told The Mirror that she quit her smoking habit and pursued a healthier lifestyle. She revealed that she was scared if she carried on smoking, she would be dying from a smoking-related illness and that would have been really bad.
She also spoke to The Sun and mentioned that she used to drink 10 cups of tea a day with two sugars each. That’s a total of 20 sugars a day. That’s quite a lot of sugar and a lot of tea. Very British of you, Adele.
The ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer-songwriter cut sugar from her diet to shed some pounds and eventually gave her the energy boost she needed for her touring and mommy duties to her son, Angelo.
Adele has subscribed to a meal delivery service care of Jennifer Irvine from Pure Package. She is now on a really clean diet, with plenty of veggies and fruits, including lean proteins and healthy portions of complex carbs.
Still, like many of us, Adele loves keeping it real and has admitted that she is not a fitness fanatic and won’t be turning into one anytime soon. She does not enjoy going to the gym and is popularly quoted to have said, “I don’t have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like.”
She’s truly an inspiration to all young moms out there who have been struggling with weight issues due to reasons such as genetics, pregnancy, or an unhealthy lifestyle. Honey, you CAN shed those pounds. Adele did it by kicking her smoking habits and quitting sugar completely.
